General Specifications:
Bleeds
For elements that extend to the edge of the page, include a 1/8" bleed on all sides. This extra area will be trimmed off to achieve the finished size.
Margins
Keep all type and critical elements at least 1/8" from the trimmed edge.
Colors
CMYK Process (no spot, RGB, or PANTONE; grayscale OK). Keep in mind that all of our 2-sided formats are printed in full-color on both sides.
Images
Photos should be CMYK and at least 300 dpi at the finished size. Images from web sites are not suitable for high-quality printing.
Fonts
Embed all fonts in PDFs or include them when sending native InDesign or QuarkXPress files. |

Mailing Specifications:
Mailing Label Area
Leave a blank area 4" wide x 2.5" tall in the bottom right corner for inkjet labeling and USPS barcoding.
Postal Permit
Must be located on the right edge of the postcard -- either direct above the mailing label area, or in the top right corner similar to the placement of a postage stamp.

Return Address
To avoid your misdelivery of your mailing, do not include a complete address anywhere in the bottom 3 inches of your design. Addresses without your state and ZIP code are OK.
Keep in mind that a return address is not necessary for bulk mail service since that rate does not include return service. Our mailing lists are updated every two weeks directly from US Postal Service computers to ensure that your list is the most accurate available. |
